Imagine being 29 years old and trapped inside your country. Iranian Nassim Soleimanpour is a conscientious objector who refused to take part in mandatory military service and was denied a passport. In White Rabbit Red Rabbit he dissects the experience of an entire generation born amid the hardship of the Iran-Iraq war computer-literate, well-informed young people who have never known an Iran other than the Islamic Republic.

Soleimanpour turns his isolation to his advantage with a wild, utterly original play, an absurdist adventure blending comedy and drama. No director and no set: each performance features a different actor who sees the script for the first time while stepping onstage. Now, during Ithaca Festival 2016, The Cherry Arts presents two of Ithaca's finest professional actors taking the plunge.

2 performances, 2 actors, 2 locations on The Commons!

Saturday June 4th at 6 PM in CENTER ITHACA
ACTOR: Dean Robinson*

Sunday June 5th at 5 PM at CINEMAPOLIS
ACTOR: Darcy Rose
