South American Spring Featuring the world premiere of Canción amazónica
This exciting concert featuring sounds and rhythms of South American music is sure to transport you to faraway lands without ever leaving your seat!
Featuring a world premiere of Nicholas Fairbank's newest work, Canción amazónica, you will not want to miss this once in a lifetime experience! In this energized new work, Fairbank draws from his personal experience taking part in a musical residency in Peru, and from this, adapts the melodies and languages of the traditional Peruvian culture, and ties it beautifully together resulting in a breathtaking piece that will excite and delight audiences of all ages!
Via Choralis is honoured to partner with Mosqoy for this event; Mossqoy is a Peruvian-Canadian charity which supports Peruvian youth in Educational endeavors, cultural preservation, and global awareness. A portion of the proceeds from the South American Spring series will go to supporting Mosqoy's important work.
