LAURA NICHOLSON
Laura Nicholson, a midwest songstress was born and raised in Minneapolis, MN where her home roots have taught her to spill her authentic, nostalgic and carefree attitude into each lyric and melody. Nicholson's dream has been nudging her ever since she was a little girl and a spark caught fire her sophomore year of college. Laura took a risk and dropped nearly everything to pursue her dream, and the doors opened.
Laura Nicholson packed her bags and began to travel back and fourth between her home town to Nashville, Tennessee to write her album debut. In Nashville, she had the privilege to team up with hit songwriter/producer Rollie Gaalswyk (Cassadee Pope "Wasting All These Tears") and singer-songwriter Caitlyn Smith (Meghan Trainor, Lady Antebellum, Jason Aldean, Rascall Flatts). The Three of them, along with a few more of Nashville's finest wrote dozens of songs for Nicholson's debut project. The album dropped in June of 2015.
Today, you will find Laura traveling around the midwest with her band sharing the melodies and memories behind her album. The songstress plans to make the big move to Nashville, Tennessee this summer. Until then, Minneapolis is in for a treat with the heartfelt songs and captivating voice of Laura Nicholson.
