ANCIENT MARINER + VALLEY MAKER WITH SPECIAL GUEST SAVANNAH SMITH
Ancient Mariner:
Originally a solo project started by Gabriel Jorgensen(Guitar, Synth, Vox) in the suburbs of Denver, Ancient Mariner's beginnings are rooted in dreamy folk driven songs exploring the perplexities and frustrations of faith and the life surrounding it. Since his move to Minneapolis, Gabriel has joined with Connor Davison(drums) and Dan Stewart(bass) to continue those explorations with growing complexity and energy in the music, while still retaining the dreamlike and enchanting quality that first caught listener's ears.
Valley Maker:
Valley Maker is the brainchild of songwriter Austin Crane. Now based out of Seattle, Austin has been writing songs and performing as Valley Maker in frequent collaboration with Amy Godwin and other musicians between South Carolina and Washington since 2010. Valley Maker released their latest full length record, When I Was A Child, on September 25th, 2015.
Savannah Smith:
Savannah never intended to be a songwriter or musician. Though always fond of singing, she only began to write music after a friend purchased her a ukulele. The instrument soon became an avenue of deep expression through songwriting. Her lyrics darken the bright chords and create a depth in her music that reaches far beyond her years as heard in her 2011 Debut EP, Leaving Eau Claire. With her debut album imminent, Savannah tours and plays regularly.
