Over a decade ago, we began getting communiques from Sleepy Hollow, NY from a guitarist named Sharkey. He was offering something never-before-heard in folk clubs: Hillbilly-Punk-Floyd. We thought that sounded fun! For their first couple visits to Caffe Lena, it was Sharkey and Joziah alone--and the magic was palpable. They began bringing more band members to more and more gigs as the years went by, and we watched in amazement as the folk world fell in love with this righteous, raucous, otherworldly rock band. Their annual full-band extravaganzas at the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival Dance Tent wash away all the cares of the year and leave us more energized and full of harmony than we'd thought possible. Tonight we bring their festival fans the special treat of the acoustic duo that started it all: an intimate evening with Sharkey and Joziah with two guitars, one stage, and a roomful of willing hearts all to themselves.
