Native American Flute-Paul "Che oke ten" Wagner--TIME OF PARADISE
Free. Che oke ten introduces his new album--TIME OF PARADISE-- dedicated to all the wonders and beauties of mother earth past and present, lost and preserved. To encourage people to remember the glorious world that was here only a few generations ago. To become inspired by the humpback whales that once flourished in the Salish Sea and to know that we can make things better from here forward. Artist reception includes performance of selections from "Time of Paradise" 2-3pm. 4Culture King County Lodging Tax supports public access to heritage programing at the Duwamish Longhouse.
Paul "Che oke ten" Wagner is an internationally-performing ambassador of the traditional songs & stories of his Coast Salish tribal ancestors.
Che oke ten's debut Native flute CD "Journey of the Spirit" won the 2009 JPF Award for Best Native American Album. Other available recordings include "Prophecy Teachings of the First Peoples of the Northwest Coast" (a collaboration with his cousin, Johnny Moses), & a limited-edition solo storytelling CD entitled, "Creation Stories."
