Free Mardi Gras Tribute to Whitney, Etta & Don.
The Village Project and the Fillmore Center are proud to present the 6th Annual Mardi Gras San Francisco Style Fat Tuesday in the Fillmore from February 18 to February 21, 2012. The four-day celebration will commence with a FREE kick-off concert in the Fillmore Plaza on Saturday February 18th from 2 to 5 pm.
Join The Village Project and pay tribute to Whitney Houston, Etta James. Dance down memory lane, as DJ LaMont spin their soulful sounds. Join the Soul Train line and dance to the tunes of Don Cornelius' Soul Train era.
MARDI GRAS EVENT SCHEDULE:
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 18
2:00 pm: Kick-off Concert featuring the Jah Summit Band (Reggae), The Uninvisible Funk Band, Ziek Carter and The Village Kids Chorus. Family friendly with a Kiddie Carnival, cotton candy & more @ Fillmore Center Plaza - 1475 Fillmore Street (FREE)
8:00 pm: After-Party @ Rasselas Jazz Club, with the Uninvisible Funk, Key Lime Pie, & Soul Mechanix bands and DJ LaMont 1534 Fillmore Street ($15.00 or free with masquerade ticket)
