Introduction to Native Flute Workshop--Paul "Che oke ten" Wagner
Learn the basics.  Play from the heart.  No need to read music. Teacher is award winning Native American Flute Player and Storyteller Paul "Che oke ten" Wagner.  Students may purchase or borrow flute.  Sorry, we can not provide information about flute sales before the class.

Paul "Che oke ten" Wagner is an internationally-performing ambassador of the traditional songs & stories of his Coast Salish tribal ancestors.

Che oke ten's debut Native flute CD "Journey of the Spirit" won the 2009 JPF Award for "Best Native American Album ". Other available recordings include "Prophecy Teachings of the First Peoples of the Northwest Coast" (a collaboration with his cousin, Johnny Moses), & a limited-edition solo storytelling CD entitled, "Creation Stories."

Che oke ten's new album "TIME OF PARADISE"is dedicated to all the wonders and beauties of mother earth past and present, lost and preserved. To encourage people to remember the glorious world that was here only a few generations ago. To become inspired by the humpback whales that once flourished in the Salish Sea and to know that we can make things better from here forward.

Enrolled Duwamish youth should contact Longhouse directly for workshop scholarship.
