Experience Architecture: Architectura Obscura
Before beginning to design, architects look up. They look up to see what isn't there and envision the potential for what could be. This event and exhibit centers on photographs submitted to the juried Architectura Obscura competition that capture this spirit.
Exhibition will remain in the AIA Central Valley Gallery through December 2015.
Sponsored by: ARC Document Solutions, SMUD, Comstock's Magazine, Fulcrum Property, HGA Architects, Dreyfuss & Blackford Architects, and New Helvetia Brewery.

Experience Architecture is developed and led by AIA architects and associate members in collaboration with our allied members, corporate partners and various community organizations.
It is designed to facilitate greater transparency with the public in how architects create our built environment and how it impacts their daily lives; to create an ongoing dialogue to inform a distinct, regional, architectural identity; and to highlight existing relationships between the region and its architecture.
Founded in 1942 the American Institute of Architects, Central Valley Chapter, represents the interests of the architectural profession in 17 Central Valley counties.
