Project Tour of The Shop at VSP Global
Join AIACV's Emerging Professionals for a special tour of The Shop at VSP Global, a recent project by Dreyfuss & Blackford Architects.
Vision Service Plan (VSP) has moved their innovation think-tank - known as The Shop - into the former Vogel Chevrolet Showroom in midtown Sacramento. Mirroring VSP's move to breaking out of the corporate mold, Dreyfuss & Blackford design principal Jason A. Silva introduced the VSP innovation leaders to working with flexible environments through the use of corrugated structures. Leveraging the ability to rapidly prototype structures and spaces, the architectural design process influenced The Shop's approach to team organization. For more information on this process, check out http://dreyfussblackford.com/blog/2014/04/15/if-it-isnt-broken-it-should-be/.
VSP Innovation Strategist and Co-Founder of The Shop, Jay Sales and Jason A. Silva will present the innovative and collaborative processes that created the project and how the project informs their current and future research and development.
