FRESH: Us On Roofs, Le Wrens, Zebra Mirrors
SO LONG, WELCOME WEEK!
FRESH: a night for new students, a new quarter, and new bands. NO SYLLABUS REQUIRED.
October 4th, 2011
You've (most likely) survived welcome week, first week of classes, meeting new roommates and all of the other endearing things that happen in the first week of college. As you keep settling in, the Fremont Abbey would like to introduce itself to you.
Come on by for a night of music from young bands for a cheap price (discounted w/ Student ID). Bring a friend and break out of the infamous "campus bubble" early on, BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE.

US ON ROOFS
"Us on Roofs provides a relaxed, poetic brand of syncopated indie rock that builds on guitarist/keyboardist Brian Fisher's lyrical approach and an affinity for familiar, catchy, guitar-driven melodies." - Nick Feldman, Seattle Weekly
"heir sound relied more on structured and edited guitar melodies and they were reminiscent of Young The Giant with their earnest vocals." - Ann On, ReviewArtist.com
LE WRENS
"Le Wrens, however, made that one of those times you stand in a club, beer underfoot, uncomfortable huggy-kissy couple next to you, loud jock kid that forgot he was in public and the occasional frosted hair oldster that wandered in from the alley and just stare in awe." - http://bestmusicreviewsever.wordpress.com/
ZEBRA MIRRORS
"The lead singer for Zebra Mirrors has just about a perfect indie rock voice with just a little bit of that Americana twange." - http://www.fairlycoherent.com (Article on 21 Best Female Vocalists In Today's Music)
