August Sustainability Series: A Conversation About Care and Compassion, For Our Common Home and Each Other
Please join us for a panel discussion about Pope Francis' recent Encyclical, moderated by Governor Bill Ritter and featuring members of the religious and spiritual communities. This will focus on the case for concern for our common environment and humanity. The Encyclical has given the global community an insightful piece of writing that appeals to both environmental and spiritual sensibilities, helping millions to explore the notion that perhaps these two issues not only overlap, but positively reinforce one another. We're excited to bring our community together to do just that.
Please join us August 3rd from 5:30-7:30pm at The Alliance Center to be a part of this discussion. Networking starts at 5:30pm, and the program will begin at 6pm. The moderated panel will be followed by audience Q&A and closing remarks. The event concludes at 7:30pm, but we invite you to remain afterward for additional networking and refreshments.
Food and cash bar will be available. This event will sell out!
Note: This will not be a platform to voice displeasure with portions of any faith. It will be a respectful discussion meant to foster understanding and collaboration. Confirmed panelists: -Former Governor Bill Ritter -Reverend Amanda Henderson, Interfaith Alliance of Colorado -Dr. Revered Jonathan Ellerby, The Althea Center -David Loy, Zen teacher and author
