Architecture Matters Design Forum: Brick Architecture
Join hosts Arturo Levenfeld, AIA, Kris Barkley, AIA and Saxon Sigerson, AIA for a casual evening of discussion centered on the topic of design as it relates to the use of brick in architecture.
Brick is one of the most elemental of building materials. It is at once modern and ancient and can be found in the most basic of buildings while also being used to form complex shapes and structures.
What place does brick have in the definition of modern architecture? Is it a fundamentally outdated material that deserves replacement by new technologies? Our open forum discussion is intended to explore these questions and others in our continuing Architecture Matters design forum series.
