Cabaret 313 proudly presents a heart-warming evening of story and song when the charming chanteuse Maxine Linehan sings &#34;Beautiful Songs&#34; on May 7, 2016.
<BR>
<BR>*Beautiful Songs* is an exploration of what makes a song not just pretty,
<BR>but beautiful. Singing songs from a wide variety of genres from Broadway,
<BR>folk, pop, and beyond, the critically acclaimed Maxine Linehan will give
<BR>audiences a rare hour filled with beauty created from irresistible
<BR>melodies, with elegant and incisive lyrics. Beauty, of course, is in the
<BR>eyes (and the ears) of the beholder, but the critics have been unanimous in
<BR>their praise. Stephen Holden of *The New York Times* called Maxine
<BR>&#34;Fiercely talented - she takes favorites that you thought you knew and
<BR>infuses them with an intensely personal point of view.&#34;
<BR>
<BR>Ms. Linehan has performed at venues as diverse as Ars Nova, Birdland,
<BR>and The Town Hall. She was acclaimed in her one woman drama, Bronte,
<BR>starred in the National Tour of the Lincoln Center production of *South
<BR>Pacific*, directed by Bartlett Sherr, and has recorded three CDs, including
<BR>the brilliantly reviewed CD version of *Beautiful Songs*.
<BR>
<BR>Beautiful Songs is created and directed for Maxine Linehan by Scott Siegel,
<BR>the creater/writer/director/host of Broadway by the Year at The Town Hall. Mr. Siegel 
<BR>has written, directed and produced for Michael Feinstein, and created
<BR>shows for Carole J. Bufford.
<BR>
<BR>Doors open 45 minutes before show time. &nbsp;Hors D'oeuvres/Desserts and Beer/Wine available for purchase. &nbsp;
