Monet's Passion
Murray discusses Monet's color theories, design elements and use of light and shade, along with the development and maintenance of Monet's estate, sometimes referred to as his 'living canvas.' This new VAA Garden Tour event includes a delicious French wine and cheese tasting, and book signing. Murray lived and worked in the gardens at Giverny for a year, in exchange for room and board. She has returned every year for the past 25, to photograph the legendary location. Her images have traveled with Monet's paintings to eight museums and are published in annual calendars. Murray's enchanting photographs, personal stories, garden metaphors and warm humor delight and inspire.
