Cliff Eberhardt has been called the missing link between Paul McCartney and Cole Porter. (Seth Rogovoy) His guitar and piano melodies range from pop to folk to old-style jazz, with lyrics that find fresh, incisive ways to address the familiar themes of life gone good and bad. From melancholy to sweet optimism, Cliffs songs are the product of a mature and tested performer with the highest level of craftsmanship. A driving force of the Greenwich Village New Folk movement and beloved by his peers, Cliff's songs have been covered by Richie Havens, Buffy St. Marie, Erasure, Lucy Kaplansky and the folk superstar band "Cry, Cry, Cry" (Dar Williams, Richard Shindell, Lucy Kaplansky). A couple years ago he surprised us all by writing original music (critically acclaimed) for the Folger Shakespeare Theatre's production of "The Taming of the Shrew," thereby proving that Cliff can win any songwriting assignment put in front of him. Tennessee songwriter Louise Mosrie came bursting onto the folk radar a few years ago by sweeping the the songwriting contests at Kerrville, Wildflower, Telluride, and Falcon Ridge. Her rootsy album Home, produced by Eberhardt in 2010 peaked at #1 on the Folk DJ chart. Mosrie's beautiful singing and historic lyrics are set to great effect in a personal landscape. When they're on the road together, Cliff and Louise back each other with vocal harmonies and multiple instruments.
