Caffe Lena returns to its home away from home on grounds of the Georgi Museum in the tiny hamlet of Shushan, NY. Until his passing in 2001, Shushan was home to Sigurd Rascher, one of the foremost 20th century champions of the classical saxophone, and a key inspiration to members of Decho Ensemble, an internationally touring quartet playing classical chamber music and new works arranged for vintage Buescher saxophones. Their rich, warm sound is perfectly suited to pieces by Bach, Singelée, Glass and Knorr, as well original works by Saratoga Springs native Michael Lanci. Enjoy an evening of elegant music in a relaxed setting on the picturesque banks of the Battenkill River.
