With a style like JJ Cale and Daniel Lanois, this blues-influenced, New Orleans-inspired "song and groove man," brings a world of experience to the stage. Born in Quebec , he came of age in Boston and served a year in Vietnam as a Marine, struggled and overcame drug addiction, earned a pilot's license in Colorado, then moved to Alaska, then Seattle, and Paris and New Orleans. His gritty narratives are set against grooving guitar and harmonica that gallops along with great momentum. He's been honored with a JUNO and won the International Blues Challenge held annually in Memphis. You can often find him in company with Mary Gauthier, Eliza Gilkyson, Ray Wylie Hubbard and Tim O'Brien.
