Two Sides of the Classical Guitar
Join us at 3pm on Saturday May 21st for a brilliant afternoon performance of classical guitar. The concert will feature a blending of Contemporary, Flamenco, Blues, Jazz and latin acoustic from the shared talent of Brian Cullen and David Bullard. "Two Sides" is a collaborative performance, one in which the two classical/nylon string guitarists take turns on stage performing solo for the crowd. " What makes Two sides so brilliant is the symbiotic relationship that Cullen and Bullard have. Alone, each is an extraordinarily talented guitar player. But together, the two players are able to aptly fill in the others musical spaces, resulting in a show that ebbs and flows and never relinquishes your attention."Brian Cullen from South Africa performs music from the classical guitar repertoire as well as contemporary music. His repertoire stretching from the musing of Bach, Brazilian stylings all the way to the Beatles tunes of the 60's and 70's.David Bullard is founder of Songfest Concert Series and Soundwavz Dance Co. Having played Latin style guitar in Sante Fe and other parts of the South West, Bullard's five-finger picking style is all his own.
