How Did I Get Here?
Visual Effects guru Paul Franklin is a double Oscar winner for Inception and Interstellar at Double Negative the company he helped found in 1998. His staggering list of credits runs from Harry Potter to Batman. Alexei Sayle first jumped onto a London stage at the Comedy Store at Soho's very own Raymond Review Bar, he's gone on to have a hugely successful career doing comedy and serious work across film, television, radio and music, he's written five novels including a graphic novel. Jeremy Herrin is the Artistic Director of Headlong Theatre, the company bought that you 1984, he also directed the recent production of Wolf Hall at the RSC. Three very different careers but what was the journey? The good times and the bad, careers laid bare, as our three uber creatives chat about why they do what they do and how they ended up doing it.
