Columbia City Cinema Presents: From Reel to Real
With the cinema going strong, we're heading across the street to the Rainier Valley Cultural Center to bring you four Wednesdays of live entertainment featuring some of Columbia City's hottest talent. We'll spice up your week with sizzling burlesque, intriguing theater, inspiring readings and infectious humor, with a few surprises in between.
February 16
A tantalizing night of burlesque, featuring the special talents of Whisper De Corvo, Madisun Avenue, Fosse Jack, and Scandal from Bohemia .
March 16
Presenting a new cultural classic, The Vagina Monologues as performed by the New Amerikan Theatre.
April 20
A talking dog, a race driver and a touching story. Author Garth Stein reads from his book The Art of Racing in the Rain and talks about his experiences as a NY Times best-selling novelist.
May 18
A night of uproarious comedy with the legendary comedian John Keister & Friends, "Making you laugh one joke at a time!" Host of the local comedy program Almost Live!
