Around the World in Eighty Minutes
This concert will present music of diverse styles representing such exotic places as Samoa, Australia, Tanzania, and Peru, as well as more familiar North American and European repertoire. Jules Verne's Phileas Fogg and Passepartout might well have encountered some of this music on their journey around the world. However, for this concert, members of the audience need not worry about the international dateline, or other perils of travel, and can sit in relative comfort to enjoy the journey.
