The Sonando Project offers a unique and fiery blend of modern jazz and Afro-Caribbean traditions. Their musical landscape incorporates Afro-Cuban folklore and Brazilian Jazz flavors along with rumba and timba-esque dance grooves into a modern improvisational context. The band is currently performing their intriguing interpretations of the music of Stevie Wonder. The music showcases intricate arrangements of Stevie's beloved songbook filtered through an Afro-Caribbean Jazz lens. The result is a contagious sound that is sure to please Jazz, Latin and R&B connoisseurs alike. The world-class musicians of The Sonando Project are saxophonist & flutist Darren Smith, pianist Bob Crawford, bassist Sam Bevan, drummer David M. Flores and conga player/percussionist Patricio Angulo.
