Charles Neville (Neville Brothers) & Youssoupha Sidibe with The Mystic Rhythms Band
Youssoupha and Charles have recorded a groundbreaking album which they will be releasing before the tour. This will be their first West Coast tour together. Crowds will be flocking to this amazing cultural performance combining New Orleans and West African music with drums and bass.
Grammy winning Charles Neville, the second oldest Neville brother, has the most diverse musical background. His experience on saxophone has included rhythm & blues, African, funk, jazz, be-bop, popular and even American Indian music. He cites as influences Louis Jordan, Charlie Parker, John Coltrane, Sonny Rollins and Professor Longhair.
Charles has performed on the road backing rhythm & blues legends (three of the world's best know musicians) Ray CharlesYoussoupha was Grammy nominated for his collaboration with Matisyahu on multiple tracks, including a duet he wrote with Matisyahu on Youth, The 2007 Grammy-nominated "Best Reggae Album", which has gone gold. Through this and many other collaborations, as well as countless performances over the course of 20 years, Youssoupha has developed thousands of fans all over the world. Youssoupha has performed with many exceptional musicians, including Matisyahu, Michael Franti, India Arie, Steve Kimock, Michael Kang of String Cheese Incident, Chris Berry Trio, and Midnite. The newly released Youssoupha Sidibe and Midnite's FOR ALL is the first ever, full album collaboration of African and Caribbean Reggae. His performances are an amazing musical experience, unlike any othe, James Brown, and B.B. King! Johnny Ace, Little Walter, Jimmy Reed, Big Maybelle, Bobby Bland and. Not ignoring his hometown, he also played saxophone behind Allen Toussaint, James Booker, Ernie K-Doe and Huey "Piano" Smith. He has opened for acts such as the Grateful Dead at stadiums.
