Dis-Illusions
Seeing is believing, or so we think. But how accurate are our senses and are they colored by other factors? Dis-Illusions examines how perception and memory shape our sense of reality and how that reality may differ radically from one person to another. Visual artist Gwen Samuels creates a magical environment with an installation of pieces that march along walls, hang suspended on plexiglass cubes and are integrated into costumes. Musician Ken Christianson composes an aural landscape that confounds and delights the listener. Expect the unexpected in this new work by Donna Sternberg & Dancers.
