Josh Roseman
Josh Roseman has played with a virtual who's who of the modern music scene, with artists as diverse as Dave Holland, Dave Douglas, The Roots, Charlie Hunter, Steve Coleman, John Zorn, John Ellis, Tyshawn Sorey, Don Byron, Medeski Martin and Wood, and MeâShell NdegeOcello employing his skills as a sideman. He has released three widely heralded solo albums, the last of which, New Constellations, received a four-out-of-five star rating in DownBeat. Roseman has won numerous awards in prominent publications, including the 2009 DownBeat Award for "Talent Deserving Wider Recognition" and the 2008 DownBeat Award for "Top Rising Start Trombone," both in the International Critics' Poll. His work as a composer has been commissioned by SFJazz, the Downtown Geneva Orchestra, New York City's Jazz Gallery via the Jerome Foundation and more
