Jrod Indigo is a talented new vocalist in the emerging funk/soul scene in the Bay Area and
beyond. His organic style and magnetic stage presence has induced enthusiasm amongst
fans and club promoters. On November 13, 2004 Jrod Indigo and The Pheromones closed the San Francisco Funk Festival with a bang accompanying Martin Luther. He has also shared the stage with Amel Larriuex, Dead Prez, J Boogie Dubtronic Science, The Coup, Tweet, Soulive, Crown City Rockers, Das Rut (Maktub side project), and The Perceptionists. Taking cues from Donny Hathaway, Marvin Gaye, James Brown, Prince, The Jackson 5, A Tribe Called Quest, The Roots, Madlib, and Stevie Wonder, Jrod has produced an infectious blend of quality funk and soul music. His charismatic approach to the business and the success of his debut EP, Infectious has created a loyal following.
