Gadarene
IRT 3B Development Series presents:
GADARENE
Written and directed by Neal Wilkinson
With Caroline Tamas and Brian Farish
Neal Wilkinson:
"Gadarene first began as an exploration into multiple personality disorder and demonic possession. It takes its name from the Bible story of the Gadarene Demon, which features Jesus meeting, and exorcising, a man possessed by a multitude demons, who calls himself Legion. Over the course of its development, Gadarene became less about crafting a character with multiple personalities or simply depicting a character possessed, and more about the line between psychological and religious diagnoses, and how blurred that line can be. Mary, Gadarene's protagonist, is caught between worlds, unsure quite how to interpret what is happening in her mind or the world. Is she losing her mind, or is she having what could be called a religious experience? Gadarene seeks not to answer that question, but to give a glimpse of the world through Mary's eyes."
