The Thrilling Adventure Hour is new take on old time radio... A staged show in the style of old time radio, Eisner-nominated graphic novel from Archaia/Boom! Studios, a Nerdist podcast (a favorite of Rolling Stone), a hit Nerdist web series, highly anticipated concert film, The Thrilling Adventure Hour is a cult phenomenon returning to San Diego in the midst of their nationwide con tour.
Their live performance at The Spreckels Theatre at SDCC on July 26 is a cross-over event featuring The WorkJuice Players (Marc Evan Jackson, Hal Lublin, Mark Gagliardi, Craig Cackowski & James Urbaniak) and Welcome to Night Vale. The event includes special guests Jason Ritter (Parenthood), Molly Quinn (Castle), Janet Varney(Legend of Korra), music from Andy Paley & Jonathan Dinerstein, and the voice of Night Vale Radio, Cecil Baldwin. Co-written by Ben Acker & Ben Blacker and Jeffrey Cranor & Joseph Fink, it is the cross-over to end all cross-overs.
