The Fremont TourSeattle, WA
Welcome to Fremont, Center of the Universe!!
Our 2021 summer season is still uncertain. Until then we will only do special group tours (weddings, corporate, conventions, etc.). Email us for information.
The Fremont Tour promotes public art in Seattle's Fremont District otherwise known as the "Center of the Universe." Our tour is very interactive as we participate in an ART ATTACK (with the sculpture Waiting for the Interurban), fire the 47' Fremont Rocket (aimed at city hall) and meet the Fremont Troll's Cousin (under the Aurora Bridge). Our tour guides are in costume and playfully involve strangers in the street who have NO IDEA they are going to be a part of our story. So bring a camera and be prepared for some entertaining street theater. OUR MISSION IS TO ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO FIND THEIR PLAYFULNESS THROUGH ART AND HISTORY. AND THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS.
Our walking tour takes place in the Fremont District of Seattle which is 4 miles north of the downtown core. It is a 15 minute drive by taxi or bus ($26,28,31,32,40). The tour is 90 minutes long and we walk about 1/2 mile. We end in the core of Fremont close to The Fremont Sunday Market and local shops.
We begin the tour at Solstice Plaza (711 North 34th Street, Seattle, WA 98103). It is wheelchair accessible. There is free on street parking every Sunday.
