East County EDC Manufacturing Tours Sept. 17th
Every year we collaborate with local manufacturers to introduce veterans and adult job seekers to the types of job opportunities that are available in manufacturing. The purpose of these tours is to expose the community to the potential job opportunities that can be found in manufacturing and change the perspective of the industry.
Modern day manufacturing has evolved significantly over the years and can lead to many different career pathways. On September 17th manufacturers will open their doors to these groups to provide a tour of their facilities to show them to what kinds of jobs the manufacturing industry has to offer.
Many individuals may come to find that there are potential careers within manufacturing they didn't know about that may be suitable for them, and it allows them to think about whether it might be a career path they may actually consider pursuing.
