Lee Daniel Kravetz and Julie Lythcott-Haims
A Celebration of Palo Alto's Contagious Resilience

Tuesday, June 27, 2017
7:30 p.m.

Kepler's Books
1010 El Camino Real

Kepler's welcomes Lee Daniel Kravetz and Julie Lythcott-Haims for a night of catchable hope.

From social media, to search, to state-of-the art healthcare and education, Silicon Valley is uniquely good at making things that catch. Yet in 2009, Silicon Valley created something that was never supposed to catch but did, ensnaring students, parents, and the community in crisis.  In response, Palo Alto became an example of how to fight, how to live, how to be happy, and how to remain strong, a shining model of how to care for one another and a vital reminder of our responsibility to one another.

Julie Lythcott-Haims (internationally acclaimed author of "How To Raise An Adult") hosts one of the most important conversations of our times with author and psychotherapist Lee Daniel Kravetz about the story of Palo Alto and how, in the midst of one of its most trying tests, became a beacon of contagious hope and resilience.

Kravetz is the author of the upcoming book "Strange Contagion" and the international bestselling book "Supersurvivors."  Lythcott-Haims and Kravetz will discuss how the Bay Area has healed, as well as the way the community has worked to bounce back and rebuild.

They will be joined by Roni Habib, a teacher of social emotional learning at Gunn High as they explore how the community has worked to bounce back from suffering using contagious thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, spreading catchable strength, infectious happiness, transmittable morale, and communicable courage.

We hope you will join us for this special evening.
