Join us to hear Brittany Cavallaro discuss The Last of August, her second action-packed novel to star Sherlock descendants Charlotte Holmes and Jamie Watson. Brittany is a poet, fiction writer, and old-school Sherlockian. She is the author of the poetry collection Girl-King, a YA novel A Study in Charlotte and is the recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts fellowship.
Brittany will be in conversation with Jeff Zentner, author of Goodbye Days and The Serpent King. Jeff Zentner came to writing through music, starting his creative life as a guitarist and a songwriter. Hes released five albums and appeared on recordings with Iggy Pop, Nick Cave, Warren Ellis, and Debbie Harry, among others.He became interested in writing for young adults after volunteering at the Tennessee Teen Rock Camp and Southern Girls Rock Camp. Hid debut novel, The Serpent King, is a William C Morris Award finalist, a New York Times Notable Book, A Kirkus Reviews Best Book of the year, and a Publishers Weekly best book of the year
