40th Annual Fall Tasting & Dinner

This will be our 40th Fall Tasting -- one of the oldest and longest continuously running beer events in the country! As such, we are pulling out all the stops to put on a very special tasting that you will not want to miss. This year's event will take place at a historic Chicago venue, The Berghoff, and includes appetizers and a 3-course plated dinner. Attendees will participate in a blind tasting of 15+ craft beers before voting on their favorites. This allows the specially procured beers to be judged strictly on their own merit. When the formal tasting ends, all the beers will be available for your enjoyment, so feel free to go back for repeated samples of all of your favorites!

Appetizers:
Potato Pancakes - Topped with apple chutney & sour cream
Bavarian Pretzels - Served warm with Kosher salt, Dusseldorf mustard & Berghoff Beer cheese
Spinach Stuffed Mushrooms - Berghoff family creamed spinach backed in mushroom caps, topped with Parmesan
First Course:
House Salad - Field greens, shaved fennel bulb with asparagus & tomato in citrus vinaigrette
Bread Basket - House-made artisan breads and butter
Entree:
German Gnocchi - in a three cheese blend with smoked Thuringer sausage, sauteed spinach & a dollop of marscapone
(*German Gnocchi may be served vegetarian style without the sausage)
Dessert:
Apple Strudel - Tart Granny Smith apples with toasted pecans, cinnamon & caramel
Intelligentsia Private Label Coffee
