'Oh, For the Love of Webster' A Benefit Concert
There are many volunteer not-for-profit organizations in our Town of Webster, whose accomplishments contribute to an improved quality of life in the Community. Financial constraints are often the factor that limits their ability to set priorities and achieve their goals. Proceeds from this concert will be shared by Webster Arboretum, Webster Comfort Care Home, Webster Community Chest, Webster Museum and Historical Society, Friends of Webster Trails, Holy Trinity HOPE Ministry and UMCW Faith in Action Team, with whom we are partnering to present this concert.
We are very pleased to feature two 'World Class' headliner groups for the evening. Opening the show, and just back from Jazz Festivals in Rio de Janeiro and Argentina, will be Jon Seiger and the All-Stars - a 5-piece jazz group with a Big Band sound. They will perform music ranging from Dixieland to Traditional Jazz and even a tribute to Louis Armstrong.
Next, and returning by popular request, will be Loren Barrigar and Mark Mazengarb - The International Guitar Duo. Loren & Mark are two of the finest and most versatile guitarists on the planet. A spring 2014 tour took them to Switzerland, Germany, Paris France and Moscow Russia. They will play a wide variety of selections ranging from the thumb pickin' styles of guitar greats Merle Travis, Chet Atkins and Jerry Reed , to Carpenter's, John Denver and the Beatles favorites and beyond to sensitively interpreted ballads.
