Toxic Assets
In his new play "Toxic Assets," Steven Tomlinson (Managed Care, Curb Appeal, American Fiesta) searches for the origins of the financial crisis in the psyche of an economics professor who becomes obsessed with cleaning up litter. Tomlinson and director Christina J. Moore are mounting a workshop production of the new monologue at the Off Center next month. All proceeds from the three performances (March 11-13) benefit Fusebox Festival.
Steven Tomlinson's previous monologues (Free Trade, Managed Care, Curb Appeal, Perfect Pitch, American Fiesta) have won numerous B. Iden Payne Awards and national recognition from the American Theatre Critics Association. The Austin Chronicle calls him "Austin's Best Monologist." Tomlinson is Director of Faculty Development at the Acton School of Business and Adjunct Professor of Pastoral Ministry at the Seminary of the Southwest. He coaches executives on Wall Street and at Fortune 500 companies.
