Dwayne Perkins Hour Comedy Special
Dwayne Perkins, a regular on Conan and correspondent for Jay Leno, tapes his hour special in the Tateuchi Democracy Theater at the Japanese American National Museum. Come see Dwayne perform a few of his classic bits along with many new classics never seen on TV.
In addition, the proceeds from the special will support Dying to Kill, a feature film staring Dwayne Perkins himself and will be the directorial debut of Raymond Lai. The film was written by Koji Steven Sakai and Dwayne Perkins and is produced by Koji, Ray, Michelle Sugihara, and Stanley Yung.
So what's the movie about? Think: Misery meets The King of Comedy. Dying to Kill is about a paint by the numbers stand-up comic has four jokes to make his captor laugh or die trying.
Please note: We know that you are overwhelmed by all the crowdfunding requests you get. We are too. This is our non-kickstarter, non-crowdfunding way of raising money. You come out, buy a ticket and get a show, we'll get to make our movie. Of course, if you would like to donate more money to the film, feel free the ticket prices are just suggested amounts.
