Put that all together and you have Lima Wela, a musical dance across three worlds that spans the pacific to the Mediterranean. Lima Wela is a trio created by Willie K, which includes himself, along with Avi Ronen (from Israel) and Joe Cano (from the barrios of Texas). These three gentlemen have an acoustic sound all on their own, that beat to a different drum, with heavy dynamics and fast picking and emotional rhythms.
Between the three, Joe Cano and Willie K are well renowned artists from the island of Maui. They have been friends for almost 30 years and now with the addition of Avi Ronen from Israel, it is sure to be the next new sound for Hawaii and abroad. They have collaborated their sounds together and created what they call the Pacific Mediterranean sound.
