Planting the Seed Festival
The Planting the Seed Festival is the third annual female playwrights fest produced by Little Black Dress INK. Past fests included Dirty Laundry and From the Mouths of Babes.
This year's festival features 11 short plays by playwrights from all over the country, brought to life by 9 local directors including Prescott Center for the Arts' Jon Meyer, Frank Malle (Seatbelts Required), Don Langford (Les Misérables), Linda Miller, Cason Murphy, Mary Timpany, Julie Harrington, Karen Murphy (Ghost Talk), and Tiffany Antone. Over 20 of Prescott's finest actors have been cast in the 11 shows, which include a mix of comedies and dramas guaranteed to leave the audience smiling.
*A portion of the proceeds from this event will support The Clearity Foundation, which works to improve treatment options for women with ovarian cancer in honor of Inbal Kashtan, one of our 2014 semi-finalist playwrights who recently lost her battle with cancer.
