Cathy Erway's long-awaited book The Art of Eating In hits bookstores on February 18. Join her in a book launch celebration complete with a crostini cook-off, appetizers from supper clubs Hapa Kitchen and A Razor, A Shiny Knife, music from Father Figures, DJ sets by Finger on the Pulse, and a very special reading from Cathy and a cast of characters from her memoir covering her two years of not eating out and cooking at home (based on her beloved blog http://noteatingoutinny.com). Book sales by Brooklyn Kitchen. Drink specials from Sixpoint Craft Ales.
**A portion of ticket sales goes benefit Just Food & Oxfam relief efforts in Haiti**
REGISTER to enter the Crostini Cook-Off! Prizes will be plenty, judges will include chef/author Louisa Shafia, Just Food staff, and Cathy's mom. Emceed by Chili Takedown host Matt Timms. Write to katarina@theartofeatingin.com to enter, and plan to make about 100 crostinis.
