Introduction to Aquaponics Workshop
On Wednesday, December 3rd from 6pm to 8pm join local aquaponics gurus Spencer Curry and Kieran Foran of local benefit corporation FRESH Farm Aquaponics at the offices of Sustainable America at 700 Canal Street, Stamford, CT for a free 2 hour introduction to aquaponics.

This 120 minute master class will explore how you can grow food organically, year round, through a variety of highly productive aquaponic growing mediums.  Specifically, the course will address:

    What is aquaponics?
      - How plants and fish create highly productive growing ecosystems
System types & how to pick the right system for your needs
    Plant choice
      - You can grow just about anything, with a focus on local greens and herbs
How to care for your fish
    Understanding your water chemistry
      - Easier than you think!
    Next Steps for getting started
      - For the Aquapioneers

You'll leave the class with all of the basic knowledge that you will need to get started with a basic aquaponics system, but for those interested in more serious applications, FRESH Farm Aquaponics will also be offering a course called Aquaponics Abundance.

Workshop attendees will receive a coupon for 10% off the registration fee!

"I love my new system! Thank you FRESH Farm for building this system here at Thompson Street Farm. I've begun sprouting 50 heads of lettuces and several varieties of herbs to grow in the media beds."
                         - Brenda Sullivan, FRESH Farms customer
