Full Set: with Mark Roberts/Laurel Martin and Dan Compton
JUST ADDED: Laurel Martin, Mark Roberts & Dan Compton. This trio of well known New England Musicians first toured the Northeast in 2010. During their first few meetings together, they began to go into the same tunes simultaneously with nary a wink or a nod. Once is a coincidence, but more than that must at least be metaphysical. They've been friends and musical cohorts ever since.
FullSet is one of those bands who are making a big impact around Ireland and here in the US. Six brilliant traditional musicians and singers who have deep roots in traditional Irish music but are always seeking new ways of interpreting and whose sources of material are very broad. This will be one of those special "discovery" nights for many of our Burren crowd. We take particular delight in that.

The Burren Backroom series is now three years old and creates intimate, informal presentations held in the atmospheric space created by well-known traditional musicians Tommy and Louise McCarthy in Davis Square, Somerville, Masachusetts.
Hosted by Brian O'Donovan of A Celtic Sojourn on WGBH radio, these gatherings will feature core performers from many aspects of traditional music as well as special guests, and conversations around the music. As is the custom of the Burren, it is anticipated informal and dynamic post concert sessions will be a feature.
