Storms and Scoundrels
Masks, mayhem and a spirited connection to the VSAA theme Musica de Cuba provide the inspiration for this original Commedia dell Arte Dinner Theatre production, Storms and Scoundrels.
In Havana, legend tells of many a Spanish captain who sought the hand of Habana, beautiful daughter of the Marquis. She is betrothed to Julio, but a con artist plots to swindle the Marquis out of his money and his daughter, convincing him to call off the wedding in order to lure a famous conquistador to propose. Hearing this, Habana and Julio elope and become hopelessly lost on the other side of the island while a hurricane bears down offshore.
Join us on an unforgettable journey back to 16th-century Havana: city of poets, streets of words a village surrounded by the magic of song. Guests will be treated to a Cuban inspired dinner while enjoying this one-of-a-kind show.
Dinner Theatre is one of the biggest PTSA fundraisers of the year, and requires many parent volunteers to help make it succeed. And -- we promise a good time for everyone. If interested in volunteering for this fun event, send an e-mail to vsaa.ptsa@gmail.com or leave a message at (360) 450-2317.
