He has a degree in History of Art and Theatre from University of Paris VIII and was a permanent member of the Comédie-Française for many years.
Shahrokh left his birth country of Iran at a very early age for France where he has resided, trained, and given performances ever since. In late 90's, he established the Nakissa Dance Company and has performed many of his creations with this company worldwide, including "A Persian Night's Dream", "The Route of Orient", "Nostalgia or Ghassedak", "The Seven Pavilion of Love" (Haft Peykar), "Omar Khayam," "Les Danses Mythologiques," "Mani the Bouddha of Light," and "Rumi Le brûlé". His recent work includes "Love Stories of Shahnameh" based on epic poems from the Ferdowsi's "Shahnameh Book of Kings".
