PLOP! Nights Presents Clay Martin
This month, PLOP! presents Clay Martin, one of Seattle's foremost and imaginative puppeteers. Clay's programs for adults tend to twist "classic" stories with sidesplitting sauciness. His shows are famous for breaking the rules of polite society, and for their rapid-fire sense of humor.
A master of all forms of puppetry including hand puppets, marionettes, shadow theater, rod puppets, and toy theater, Clay Martin has been delighting audiences across the country for over 20 years with the art of puppetry. Clay has performed around the world in countless theaters and festivals. Credits include The Seattle Opera, World Mother Goose, more than three hundred performances, and the creation of two clam ventriloquist dummies used in Ivar's TV Commercial!
Clay is known for his unexpected sense of humor and quick paced shows. His highly entertaining and original performances include stories from Robin Hood, King Arthur and Punch & Judy presented always with a humorous twist. Clay Martin has also adapted to the puppet stage such literary classics as 'Moby Dick,' 'Frankenstein,' and 'The Hound of the Baskervilles.'
Come enjoy a night of unexpected and saucy irreverence!
