Philippe Bertaud: Habitat for Humanity Benefit Concert
Airy, lyrical and evocative of his Mediterranean home, the music of this French guitarist/singer travels well.

Bertaud takes inspiration from his well-thumbed passport, expressing in his fine playing an understanding of the inter-relationship between cultures as diverse as the Cte d'Azur, the Orient, Eastern Europe and Brazil.

Carried on by his versatility Philippe always evolves his expression according to his artist aims and eclectic tastes, which directs him to an international development, as an outstanding guitar performer, talented composer and recognized master guitar teacher.

Don't be surprised to learn later on that his name was associated with techno band Ze Maria, Bossa-Nova singer Denise Pinaud or a Bulgarian Jazz Trio! Music comes in first place, without any label.

Whether performing a new concerto, writing a new composition, revisiting a work from the guitar repertoire or exploring cultures and musical forms, Philippe Bertaud express his musical freedom beyond the boundaries.

Los Angeles Times (U.S.A)
Astonishing virtuosity Musical imagination Dazzling technique  Philippe Bertaud is the Lord of the Strings!
O Debate (Brazil)
Bertaud has brought considerable academic and cultural resources to the task. Allied to immaculate technique, this results in a sense of commitment and ownership rarely equaled in this repertoire.A major landmark.
The Willits News (U.S.A)
After first Philippes compositions, the audience realized they were about to experience a night to remember
Le Franco (Canada)
The eclecticism in the choice of compositions and the large sound palette of this guitarist remind us that instrumentalists like Pat Metheny have also drawn their inspiration from written music.  Apart from books, travels all over the world and stays in Spain and in the United States strewn with decisive encounters have created the world of this musician.
