Mascher Space Coop Presents: Fresh Juice 2014
Fresh Juice is an annual show of current work by Artists in Residence at Mascher Space Cooperative. Brave yet humble, Almanac dives into a physical ensemble performance about explosive, radical trust. With her organic, fluid and imaginative choreographic style, Antonia Z Brown choreographs the tenderness and joy of physical empathy in a new duet. Loren Groenendaal/Vervet Dance brings us a duet exploring the relationships between rock and water and the way these two elements yield to each other over time. With a new twist, the fiercely feminist Nicole Bindler continues to defy genre by performing a solo version of her recent duet with Gabrielle Revlock, The Dance Apocalypse.
Mascher Space members are bound not by aesthetics, but by a common commitment to working cooperatively. Fresh Juice is a shared performance by this intriguing group of artists, bringing together distinct works through a cooperative platform. A total of six Mascher AIRs will perform at this year's show, with Katherine Kiefer Stark performing in Loren Groenendaal's duet, and Ben Grinberg and Adam Kerbel as a part of Almanac Dance Circus Theatre.
If you purchase a DancePass/Student/Senior discounted ticket, please bring ID to the door.
Fresh Juice is supported by the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts.
