Event
Loop 2.4.3 with guests Teresa Smith and Tom Burnett
Hailing from Michigan and arriving in Brooklyn via New Haven and Seattle, Loop 2.4.3 adds piano, voice, strings and two instruments of their invention, the Rose Echo and eLog, to percussion. These instruments are part of a unique instrumental set-up that Loop 2.4.3 has been using on the road to demonstrate that what people thought was a studio overdub record is really just four-hands and a room of percussion gear.
Ongoing collaborators TERESA SMITH (choreography/dance) and TOM BURNETT (poetry/projections) will join for multi-media performances of new music, poetry, and dance.
TOM T-BYRD BURNETT has been a member of the performance orchestra Coocoohandler and of downtown cult show Uncle Jimmys Dirty Basement. As solo performer and spoken word practitioner he has presented at PS 122, the Kitchen, Bowery Poetry Club and more including venues in Louisville, Chicago, Seattle and San Francisco.
Choreographer/Improviser TERESA SMITH, whose background includes anthropology, visual art, writing and somatics, collaborates from concept to stage with artists, designers, musicians, writers, directors and the community to create truly collaborative works.
