PAUSE: A Space for New Visions
PAUSE
We invite you to take a moment of time out of the daily transactions of survival and success in the American political economy to celebrate beauty, engage in cross-cultural connection, and explore how art realizes human rights.
Please come to an original art celebration, featuring 130 painting and sculptures that have traveled from Kenya to Seattle, to provide connection between art and human rights through the PAUSE art program, live African music, and the international arts community. Light refreshments including wine will be served. All pieces are for sale.
All artworks are by artists that belong to the Ngecha Artist Association, a community organization of over 50 local artists in Ngecha, Kenya since 2002.
Please visit http://www.pausevisions.org for more information.
You may also visit http://aokora.wordpress.com/duo to get a preview of the night's music by the Kane Mathis / Andrew Oliver Duo. Other live performers include the Anzanga Marimba Ensemble.
