2014 Boston Sabeel/ FOSNA Conference--Breaking a Generation: The Israeli Occupation
Friends of Sabeel-North America and Tree of Life Educational Fund are sponsoring an exciting all day conference: "Breaking a Generation: The Israeli Occupation -Its Damage to Palestinian Children -Its Cost to Israeli Children"
Registration begins at 8AM. Conference starts at 9AM. Lunch will be available.
Learn more about the day-to-day situation of children living under military control in the West Bank and Gaza. Too many face imprisonment, disability, emotional trauma, loss of family, and daily insecurity. Israeli youth must undergo mandatory military service to enforce the occupation.
The speakers you'll hear include: -Ivan Karakashian from Defence for Children International-Palestine -Dr. Mads Gilbert, ER Director who witnessed the effects of Gaza's bombardment -Sahar Vardi, Israeli conscientious objector -Omar Barghouti, author of Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions primer on nonviolence -Marty Federman, Jewish educator with American Jews for a Just Peace -Caroline Hunter, co-initiator for the South African corporate boycott -a panel of concerned therapists who have researched Palestinian children's trauma -and more
Enjoy live Middle Eastern music and food. Browse books and resources for supporting Palestinian children and taking action, all in the conference resource room. Meet interesting people from many different backgrounds.

Admission All tickets are "will call." After registering, just come the day of the conference and show your ID. We'll have your name on our attendee list.
